Yes folks, we finally have a regular Storytime. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:30 Miss Peggy will be reading stories, making silly noises, putting on outrageous accents, and generally having a mighty fine time reading aloud to whoever she can get to sit still long enough. Everyone is welcome at every Storytime, but on Mondays we will be reading picture books aimed at kids 5 and under, Wednesdays will feature picture books written for kids in first and second grades, and Fridays will be Chapter Book Day, where we'll pick a book and read from it every week until it's done. Again, all ages are welcome at any Storytime.

Since this is the first week of Storytime, I wanted to tell you about one of the books we'll be reading. It's a brand-new book by David Milgrim called Some Monsters Are Different. It talks about different kinds of monsters and how they enjoy different things: some like to dance, some prefer to watch; some all look alike, some look different. The overall message is a great one: we're all different, and that's okay. We don't have to look alike, act alike, or like the same things in order to get along. What really makes the book, though are the pictures. These are some of the cutest little monsters you're ever likely to run across!

I hope you'll visit us for Storytime and get to hear Miss Peggy read the book aloud, but even if you can't make it to Storytime, please remember that all of the books we read are from this library and are available for checkout. See you there!
