The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with brimming barbecue sirloin plates complete with all the trimmings and homemade desserts. The $8 plates will be served inside the parish hall until 2 p.m., or they can be picked up in the drive-through lane located on Travis street. Meat may also be purchased at the pit by the pound.
For those interested in finding unique items, the live auction begins at 12:30 p.m., and the country store and market will be open throughout the day and will include homemade jams, jellies, baked items and arts and crafts items.
Bingo will run from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Players can either bring their own daubers or they can purchase them at the hall. The prizes will be cash.
Other events slated throughout the day include children’s games, silent auction and a parish raffle. Raffle tickets are $2 each and can be purchased from parishioners, or you may go by the St. George church office. The winners of the raffle will be drawn at 6:30 p.m., and you need not be present to win.
