He was born Sept. 4, 1915. Upon his retirement from the U.S. Navy, he was a rancher, worked cattle and broke horses most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Edwards; and a sister, Dixie Wilson.
Survivors include a daughter, Janis Edwards Robinson of Conroe; three grandchildren, Brandon Voges of Houston, Leesa Chapa of San Antonio and Brian Brzozowski of Dilley; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Buddy Edwards of Kerrville and Arthur Edwards of Richardson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Sunday at Eckols Funeral Home in Kenedy. A graveside service was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Pawnee Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Herman Rose, Jim Young, Tom Porter, Randy Witte and Tommy Kidd.
Arrangements were under the direction of Eckols Funeral Home, Kenedy.
