Editor:

Gov. Rick Perry is smart, wise, bold and humane.

In my opinion, his unfavorable stance on gays in the Boy Scouts proves that he’s smart, wise and bold; and his favorable stance on in-state tuition for illegals (which I’m against) proves that he’s humane. (He’s not a racist.)

Perry is a leader, not a follower. He’s exactly what the state of Texas needs at this particular point in time.

Perry is a good man. He’s awesome. I’m proud of him.

God bless you, sir. Have a good day.

Sincerely,

Alfredo Acuna Garcia Jr.

A leader? Just look what he's done to public education in Texas with the phony budget shortfall. Now, all of a sudden, he wants to spend some of the rainy day fund on some pet projects of his, and only partially restore education funding. Some leader. It's pretty clear that his long tenure as Governor has made him rotten with power, and if he runs in 2014, he is gone, and good riddance!
