On January 9, 1951, he married Regina Dugi in Kosciusko. Mr. Foegelle was a member of Immaculate Conception Church as well as a member of Holy Name Society, Rosary Circle, Usher and Eucharist Minister. He was a director of the Community Hall and Cemetery Committee. He also worked as a weigher at the Atascosa Livestock Exchange and other local auction barns. In addition to farming and ranching, he drove a fuel truck for Gulf Oil for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife Regina, daughters Judy (David) Hons of Hobson, Linda (George) Barnet of Bandera, Doris (Gene) Rippstein of Floresville, Jim (Diana) Foegelle of McCoy; grandchildren, Brian (Becky) Hons, Nicole (John) Dziuk, Steven Rippstein, Jennifer Sara (Jason) Jansky, 10 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren, 2 step great-great grandchildren, sister Rosie Wiatrek of Cestohowa, sister-in-law Rose Foegelle and brother-in-law Jack Urbanczyk.
He was preceded in death by parents Anton Foegelle and Mary Moczygemba, infant twins John and Mary, infant son Jeffrey, brothers John (wife Bridget), Isidore and Severen Foegelle and sister Mary Urbanczyk, and great granddaughter Neveah Jansky.
Pallbearers were Brian Hons, Steven Rippstein, John Dziuk, Jeffrey Wiatrek, Mark Dugi, and Nathan Urbanczyk.
A Rosary was held Thursday in Panna Maria and the funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3 with Father Wieslaw Iwaniec officiating.
