Ballot mockery

Have all of the Beeville residents seen the sample ballot for the $15.3 million bond issue by the City Council? My question now is who is responsible for the wording on the ballot? Is it the mayor, City Council or outside consultants?

Apparently, the consultants are given free rein to control what City Hall can do or not do. I have already voted, and the wording on the ballot to me is nothing but a slush fund – and for whose benefit?

People of Beeville, this is a concept (idea), not a plan; nothing is in writing, and the report is nothing but the same information the City Council has been singing since the beginning – believe me, I know.

I was not just at one or two meetings. I have been to all the meetings and presentations since the beginning of this concept on the $15.3 million bond issue, and nothing the City Council is telling us is carved in stone. I for one am not going to give anyone a blank check with my signature to do as they please. If we let City Hall get their way, we may not run out of water, but we will surely run out of money for our household.

The real concept to this issue is the misinformed guiding the uninformed.
