Lady horns season ends after 8-4 loss in Mathis

This week the Lady Horns played two roads games.

The first road game was against Banquete on April16. The team picked up a 15-9 win. Raye Bednorz picked up the win giving up five hits and striking out six batters.

At the plate: Jordan Hensley- scored two runs, Shawna DeLeon – had a triple play and scored four runs, Marley Snider and a homerun and scored an additional four runs. Caitie Silvie had two homeruns and threeRBI’s. Kate Jimerson had one RBI and one run scored, Claire Arciba had oneRBI, Raye Bednorz scored one run Kelsi Bartlett- had two hits and one and 1 RBI and Erin Snider had one hit and one run.

On Friday, the team played their second road game of the week in Mathis. The team had an 8-4 loss that ended their season.

Marley Snider took the loss giving up two hits and striking out six batters. At the plate Jordan Hensley scored one run, Marley Snider scored one run scored, Caitie Silvie had a double play and two RBIs, Kate Jimerson had one RBI and Kelsi Bartlett scored one run.

Friday night ended the Lady Horn season.

“We finished fourth in district with an 8-6 record,” Coach Sheffield said. “ We would like to the thank everyone who supported us this year. Our girls worked and played the game hard this season.”

The Lady horns ended the season 13-19 for the season and 8-6 in district play.
