The Texas Department of Transportation had released a list of proposed improvements for Goliad County.

TxDOT anticipates having plans ready for an August 2013 letting with construction beginning in the fall for the following projects:

• improving the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and State Highway 239 by increasing the turning radii and adding a left-turn lane;

• adding illumination and updating flashing beacons at the intersection of U.S. Highway 183 and Farm-to-Market Road 622;

• adding right-turn lanes or right-turn treatments at each of the intersections at U.S. Highway 183 at Mannahuila, Midway, Old Goliad, Agape Estates and Heinig Road;

• determining if there is enough room to add turn lanes and updating flashing beacons at State Highway 119 and Farm-to-Market Road 884.
