The City Council will hold it’s third and final town hall meeting on the proposed $15.3 million bond sale and water system project on Tuesday, April 23, at the City Event Center in the 100 block of East Corpus Christi Stree.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Engineer Jesús Leal of NorrisLeal Engineering Water in Austin is expected to address those attending the meeting. Leal is an expert in reverse osmosis plants used to treat brackish well water.

The city is proposing the construction of an RO plant here to treat water pumped from the Jasper aquifer.

City residents will be voting on May 11 to approve or deny the bond issue.
