VICTORIA – The Lady Trojans jumped out to an early 4-2 lead on their East hosts, but then a string of seeing-eye base hits kept the Titans scoring and scoring.

An eight-run third and nine-run fourth were way too much for the Lady Trojans to recover from, and the Lady Titans captured a four-inning 19-4 victory on Tuesday night.

The loss leaves the Lady Trojans at 1-8 in district play with three games left in the season.

“We came out ready to play. We took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the third inning,” said Lady Trojan head coach Jose Flores.

“After recording the first out in the bottom of the third inning, everything they hit seemed to drop in or find a hole in the infield.”

Mackenzie Delagarza scored twice for the Beeville girls while Rebecca De Los Santos and Krystal Cuellar also crossed home plate. The Lady Trojans had seven hits on the night with Lynn Puente and Amanda Gonzales each getting two doubles. Cuellar, Theresa Amador (double) and Brianna Gobel also hit safely in the contest.

The Titans pounded out 18 hits in the run-rule-shortened victory and took advantage of four Beeville errors.

The Lady Trojans hosted the Port Lavaca Sandies on Friday night. On Tuesday evening, the Beeville girls will travel to Calallen to meet the Ladycats.
