The bond election

If Beeville residents vote for the $15.3 million dollar bond in May without the whole clear information needed, it will be just like Ms. Pelosi when they were voting for Obamacare – just vote it in and read the information after the election.

If the bond should be voted in May’s election, the city is compromising the residents to an increase in taxes and utility rates. If the bond is voted in, remember that taxes will increase. The BISD, Coastal Bend College, Bee County, city and all businesses will have to increase their prices to pay for the tax on the water consumption. Maybe not by much, but they will pass the cost to its customers, which will amount to more unseen indirect taxes.

There are farmers in the area of the water pipeline that comes from Swinney Switch who are willing to sell water to the city so that they do not need to use reverse osmosis to treat the water; this will be a lot less than the RO project. Residents, you do not have to drill anything; the water lines are already producing water, and it is available.

The consultants on this proposed project are only looking out for themselves. And here I was thinking that Bernie Madoff was locked up.

Think about it. How convenient that the water sample for bacteriological testing which was done in November 2012 has just been released to be printed four months later; it must mean that it is still out of compliance. But nobody was instructed to boil the water. (Listed in Beeville Bee-Picayune on April 3, 2013, bottom Page 10.)
