Your Karnes City Community Chamber of Commerce sends out our best wishes that you were blessed with a Happy Easter. We certainly have so much to be thankful for this year and obviously for many years to come. One thing I’d like to share with you is an invitation to come by and look at a beautiful book with pictures of the Eagle Ford Shale sights taken by Dan Mulligan of Peak Royalties in Irving. Many of you may have seen some of his other pictures, especially those he took of our Family Fun/Fitness Day last year on the CD’s he gave to our chamber office.
And speaking of our Family Fun/Fitness Day that we wrote about last week, plans are still under way for the one coming up on Saturday, May 4 in the Karnes City Park. We are hoping many of you will come, not only to partake of the 10K Bike Ride, 5K Walk/Run getting good exercise, but also having fun with your children in inflatable jumpers, enjoying food and drinks but also to participate as vendors. We have the forms in the office to fill out to be a vendor. There is no charge to have a place as a vendor. But we do need your information.
Other happenings are still going on in our community. As I’ve reported many times before, the chamber gets a lot of inquiries about available places to live and other accommodations available in Karnes City. And as many of you may have seen, some very lovely homes are being built within our city limits. If you are interested in leasing or even buying one of these, the chamber has the names of those to contact. So, that’s another reason to come by the chamber office and look at the pictures they have provided of these brand new homes. We have so many good things to look forward to as we watch our area grow and become very noteworthy in many ways.
Don’t hesitate to call or come by for all of this good news. ‘Til next time, Cathy Passmore
