Rodriguez tragedy

I have read excerpts from the two books written by local author on the Rodriguez family. They talk about Sheriff Ennis who killed and hurt members of that family.

The thing that bothers me is that they don’t mention it as a tragedy. Ennis abused his power to cause such killings, yet it is not mentioned as that.

I knew Trini, Victoria and Geronimo. I know that they had to live with that awful day all their lives. When they passed away, they went up to heaven where they joined their deceased family members. I know they are resting in peace.

I hope that Sheriff Ennis repented of all the wrong he did as a sheriff. May he rest in peace, too.

I am just a woman. The above is my opinion that comes from my heart. It isn’t intended to do any harm. Forgive me if my letter is not perfect. A journalist, I am not.

Thank you,

Lucy Garcia

Yes it was a tragedy, for many years my family has had to endure the pain of losing our family in such a violent way and for no reason.
