BEEVILLE – Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers and the Beeville Police Department are looking for tips that could lead to an arrest or arrests in connection with a recent theft.

On Saturday, Sept. 17, at approximately 5:17 p.m., officers were sent to a residence in the 400 block of West Youst Street where they spoke to a property manager.

The manager said the property was being renovated and someone had stolen the outside and inside components for the central air and heat system and had broken the back window.

The victim said that a vanity in the bathroom also was stolen.

According to the victim, the central heat and air system was installed the day before and everything was still there when he left.

Then he received a phone call from an employee at about 11 a.m. telling him the equipment was missing.

The victim described the missing unit as a Rheem brand. He said it was a 3,000-ton system worth $3,000.

The missing vanity in the bathroom was valued at $70 and the broken window would cost approximately $50 to replace.

The victim said someone had stolen a water heater from the home earlier in the month.

Investigators with the BPD were called to the scene to see if they could gather any evidence.

Anyone who might have information that could lead to an arrest is asked to contact the BPD at 358-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 362-0206.

Long-distance calls can be made toll-free by calling (877) 362-0206.
