Margaret was born on July 18, 1938, to Francis Joseph and Margaret (Lockhart) Huser in Beeville, Texas. She married Bernard Bednorz on February 6, 1957, in Beeville, Texas. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Margaret was the first female to serve on the G.W.I.S.D School Board. She was a Charter Member of George West Chamber of Commerce, member 20th Century Club, original organizer of George West Storyfest, organizer of Unify to Beautify and member of Quilt Club.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Bednorz of George West, Texas; sons, Charles and Lori Bednorz of George West, Texas, Morgan and Andi Bednorz of College Station, Texas, Curtis and Tamara Bednorz of George West, Texas, John and Dana Bednorz of George West, Texas; daughter, Laura and Michael Hering of Bryan, Texas; nine grandchildren, David and Natalie Hering, Steven Hering, Emily and Brad Kocurek, Scott Bednorz, Davis Bednorz, Miles Bednorz, Sophie Bednorz, Julia Raye and Jeremy Bednorz; three brothers, Mike Huser of Beeville, Texas, Richard Huser of Clarksville, Tennessee, David Huser of George West, Texas; six sisters, Kay Huser of Corpus Christi, Texas, Sharon Cox of Corpus Christi, Texas, Patty Holubec of Skidmore, Texas, Gail Turner of Blanconia, Texas, Chris Handy of Skidmore, Texas, and Nancy Kinkler of Bryan, Texas.
Visitation was held from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West, Texas. A rosary was recited that evening at 7 p.m. at St. George Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at St. George Catholic Church. Interment followed at St. George Cemetery.
