“The Marine Corps boot camp was truly the hardest thing I’ve ever been through, but I don’t regret a single second of it. The training develops you not just physically but it develops your moral and ethical values as well,” Herzog said.
According to local recruiter Staff Sgt. C.M. Araujo, from day one the core values of honor, courage and commitment are instilled in recruits through meticulously designed classes and training exercises. The Marine Corps does not want mere soldiers, it wants professional warriors, each complete with the incredibly important ability to make moral and ethical decisions under extreme stress without hesitation.
“The Marine Corps will never stop developing me mentally, physically, and morally; boot camp was just the beginning,” Herzog said.
