The Beeville Downtown Depot Pavilion will host the first “Fusion Music Fest,” in conjunction with Beeville Main Street, on Saturday, July 2.

The event will take place after Market & Main Downtown from 4:45 p.m. to midnight and will be free to the public.

The “Fusion Music Fest” will showcase the first “Bee ’N Idol” contest, Beeville’s version of American Idol singing competition. Contestants must be Bee County residents between the ages of 12-17. First, second and third place winners will receive trophies. The first place winner will receive the grand prize.

The fest will also have a variety of live acts, to include Texas country, Tejano/conjunto, norteño, classic rock and hip hop.

The “Fusion Music Fest” has been put together to attract a diverse audience to the festival due to the “fusion” of music on one stage in one night. Applications are currently being taken for food and arts/crafts vendors. For more information, contact Roberto Cisneros at 319-0864 or
