Why can’t Refugio JV have a pep-rally?

As a proud Refugio Junior Varsity supporter, I am just curious as to why they’ve never had a pep rally thrown for them. These boys/girls work just as hard as the varsity teams but see little to no recognition. Why can’t they be noticed at a pep-rally just once? A JV football player once asked a cheerleader if the cheer squad could make goodie bags for the JV, and her response was, “When you become a football stud.”

I’m sorry, but that was out of line and down right mean. The junior varsity now is the varsity of the future. We should start cheering them on now. This goes for volleyball junior varsity as well. Furthermore, why are there only pep rallies during football/volleyball season? Every player in every sport should get as much love from their school as the next person.

I know Refugio is known for football, but maybe if we showed our other sports and other students half as much support as we do football players, then we would be great and well known all across the board.

I think the cheerleader sponsor should step up and do something about this.
