Blaschke garnered 197 votes while Wiginton amassed 40 votes.
“I thank the folks who got out and voted to support me,” Blaschke said. “I look forward to the race in November against the Democratic candidate.”
Blaschke will face incumbent Refugio County Judge Rene Mascorro who was unopposed in the Democratic Primary and received 82 votes. The general election is Nov. 4.
“I’ll give it my best shot, and I wish Sylvia Barrera Wiginton the best of luck,” Blaschke said.
Wiginton said she was very humbled by the support she received for her county judge bid.
“I want to thank everybody, getting out knocking on door to door,” she said.
Full election results will be published in next week’s County Press.
