Mr. Nava was born in Sinton on June 28, 1962, to Marcos Sifuentes and Virginia Nava. He had worked for Valero Refinery in Three Rivers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Crawford of Beeville; one son, Steven Nava Jr. of Beeville; two daughters, Ashley Nava of Beeville and Shelby Nava of Corpus Christi; two grandchildren, Miah and Vincent Fuentes; six brothers, Carlos (Frances) Nava and Victor (Melissa) Nava, both of Taft, David (Irene) Nava of California, Frank (Norma) Nava of Mission, John (Kathy) Nava-Sifuentes of Effingham, Ill., and Michael (Paula) Sifuentes of Corpus Christi; two half-brothers, Marcos (Lupe) Sifuentes and Alfredo Sifuentes both of Taft; three sisters, Andrea (Alventor Rodriguez) Nava and Virginia (Rudy) Molina, both of Taft, and Mary Nava Coleman of Austin; one half-sister, Manuela Nicholson of Corpus Christi; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30. A prayer service was held there that evening at 7 o’clock.
A chapel service was conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, with Pastor Ben Drewry officiating. Interment followed at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Steven Nava Jr., Jeremy Coleman, Carlos Nava Jr., Trey Martinez, Lex Rodriguez, Levi Nava, Jeremy Coody, Alventor Rodriguez, Jessie Molina and J.V. Cabral.
