Mr. Carbajal was born in George West to Martin H. Carbajal Sr. and Sargosa (Rodriguez) Carbajal. He was a petroleum operator and a member of St. George Catholic Church in George West.
He was preceded in death by Raymond Carvajal, Victoria Solis, Aurelia Pna, Moesta Peralta, Manual Carvajal, Ambrosio Carvajal and Bennito Carvajal.
Survivors include his wife, Elvita Montelongo; sons, Carlos (Denise) Carbajal, Michael (Nicole) Carbajal, Mario (Christy) Carbajal, Martin Carbajal and Benny Cantu; daughters, Lisa (Albert) Carvajal, Rosie (Manual Lozano) Brandenburg and Irma (Wayne) Dedow; sisters, Dominga Rodriguez and Gregoria Leal; 21 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Saturday, April 6, at 10 a.m. at Galloway and Sons Chapel in George West. A rosary on Sunday, April 7, at 7 p.m. at Galloway and Sons in George West.
The funeral service was held Monday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at St. George Catholic Church in George West. Internment was at George West Cemetery with Fr. George officiating.
Pallbearers were David Brandenburg, Omar Gonzales, Manual Lozano, Michael Carbajal, Martin Carbajal, Rene Moren, Christopher Carvajal and Randal Coronado.
