The day is finally here!!!

Storyfest kicks off Friday, November 1 with a Free Community Breakfast at the Historic Buck West House, Hwy. 281 at 6:30-9:00 AM or until we run out of food.

Early risers will enjoy hot, fresh coffee and delicious breakfast tacos, they also have the chance to visit with featured storytellers!

Friday evening beginning at 6 p.m. is the start of the 3rd Annual Dobie Dichos on the grounds of the 1887 Oakville Jailhouse and Town Square.

Stories will come to life at the 25th annual George West Storyfest, November 2, 2013.  Come to The Storytelling Capital of Texas to hear all types of stories, from tall tales to history, folktales to cowboy poetry, and much more.  The state’s biggest liars will be on hand to compete in the Texas State Liars’ Contest ©.  With live oak trees for canopies and hay bales for seats, thousands gather each year to celebrate the time-honored tradition of storytelling.

Don't miss out on the fun and festivities!
