Competing against 54 girls, Zamzow ran a time of 15.8 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles; cleared 5 feet, 4 inches in the high jump; had a mark of 30-11 in the shot put; ran a time of 26.9 in the 200; went 16-11 in the long jump; threw the javelin 108-0; ran a 2:37.00 in the 800; and finished with 4,457 points, just 35 behind the gold-medal winner.
On Saturday, Zamzow threw a personal-best 108-1 to take seventh place in the open javelin.
