KARNES COUNTY – As the world continues to move toward a more and more “digital” version of itself, the small town weekly newspaper is becoming no exception to the rule.

The Karnes Countywide is now available as a “digital edition” for subscribers who wish to receive the newspaper in its entirety, in a digital format, available for viewing on a computer, tablet or other electronic mobile device. While the entire newspaper and any included special sections are part of the digital edition, pre-printed inserts or advertising circulars inserted into the newspaper will not be a part of the digital edition.

For out of town subscribers, the digital edition will allow them the opportunity to read the newspaper on the same day it is published, without having to wait for delivery by mail which can take anywhere from one to ten days, depending on how far it has to travel.

For other subscribers, the digital edition allows them the convenience of reading the entire newspaper in an easily accessible, portable digital format.

A free “one issue” trial is available, for those who would like to give it a try.

To subscribe, or sign up for the free trial, readers can take the following steps:

Visit and click the “Karnes” tab near the top of the page

Click the link labeled “digital edition” located just below the Karnes Countywide nameplate

Click the image of The Karnes Countywide newspaper and from there, follow the on-screen instructions to sign up for the free trial, or to subscribe to the digital edition at a cost of $20 per year.
