This week on Saturday, Sept. 10, the Auxiliary of Swinney Switch will host their 16th Annual Health Fair at the Grace Armantrout Museum, located at Hwy. 281 South George West from 9 a.m. until noon.

This is the 16th year the auxiliary has hosted a Health Fair, providing shots, health information and wellness screenings. The auxiliary has worked cooperatively with the Armantrout Museum for several years to provide this service to the people of Live Oak. The Auxiliary will provide a free continental breakfast.

The annual flu shot will be available as well as pneumonia shots. Information about diabetes and other health related information will be distributed. County Health Nurse Rachael Clayton will be administering the shots. Nicole Lansford will be available to check glucose levels and blood pressure. Participants are encouraged to come fasting in order to have accurate test results.

This is a great opportunity for members of the community to come see what is new at the Armantrout Museum.

If you have never had the opportunity to visit the museum, they have many interesting and unique exhibits. The museum will open at 8 a.m. and the auxiliary will be serving coffee and treats until noon.
