The seventh also went by without a run but the Beeville girls rallied in the top of the eighth. Soliz scored her third run of the night after reaching with a lead-off walk. Deal hit safely and later scored the second run of the frame. Burkett then walked and Victoria Briseno reached on a throwing error. Mikayla Mendez rapped a two-run single to give the Beeville girls two more insurance runs and an 8-4 lead.

Briseno relieved starter Burkett on the mound for the eighth inning and set down the Odem girls in order with one strikeout and a couple of good defensive plays from her fielders. Burkett struck out 12 Odem batters in her seven innings of work.
