Woodsboro - Jonita Ruth Lemley Williams, middle daughter of the five girls born to T.W. and Lorene Sahm Lemley, died August 11, 2013. She was born February 29, 1948, in Three Rivers, Texas.

Jonita was the Salutatorian of the 1966 graduating class of George West, Texas. She was a twirler in the George West High School marching band. She was very active in the FHA, holding numerous offices and earning her State FHA Degree.

On May 8, 1969, she married Don Williams at the First Methodist Church in George West. Jo and Don settled first in Woodsboro and then moved to Victoria where they lived for many years.

She is survived by her husband Don; three sons – Robert Williams of Katy; Richard (Lindsey) Williams of Katy; Ryan (Mala) Williams of Houston; four sisters – Barbara (Lyn) Boehme of San Antonio, Janice (Jim) Johnson of Houston, Connie Lemley Cantrell of Houston, Donna (Joe) Lyng of Mesquite, NV; 6 grandchildren – Shelby, Jacob, Lane, Kasey, Kameron and Kaylie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 6 pm to 8 pm, Friday, August 16, 2013, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel

Arrangements are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Refugio under the direction of Moore’s Funeral Home with interment in La Rosa Cemetery in Woodsboro.

Pallbearers will be: Robert, Richard, Ryan, Shelby, Malaise, and Katlyn Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Kaylie Williams, Kasey and Kameron Hall, Lane and Jacob Leonard and Kenneth Remmers.
