During the week of TAKS Exit Level testing (April 23-25), A.C. Jones High School will be providing delayed entry for some of its students.

Senior students who have already passed the TAKS will be allowed to delay coming to school until noon Tuesday, April 23, through Thursday, April 25.

Also, 9th- and 10th-grade students not involved in TAKS testing will be on the delayed entry schedule. For those who do not have transportation to come in late, the buses will run at the regular times and will be transporting as usual. At that time, students not scheduled for testing will report to the auditorium where they will be supervised and engaged in an activity.

The following is the delayed entry schedule:

April 23

12th grade – noon (except for TAKS math re-testers)

10th grade – noon

9th grade – noon

April 24

12th grade – noon (except for TAKS science re-testers)

10th grade – noon

9th grade – noon

April 25

12th grade – noon (except for TAKS social studies re-testers)

10th grade – noon

9th grade – noon

JHS anticipates 100 percent attendance and cooperation in this effort to maximize the best situation possible for students during this important testing week.

Also, as in the past, if students do not show up for testing, staff members will be calling and going to homes to pick up students and bringing them in for the appropriate tests. As an additional reminder, testing will end at 4 p.m. when our school day ends.
