GOLIAD – Goliad County now has more deputies to patrol to streets.

Goliad County Sheriff Kirby Brumby swore in two full-time deputies and one reserve deputy during a ceremony May 17 at the County Commissioners Courtroom.

Troy Hull, 33, is from Uvalde and has had prior law enforcement experience in Uvalde County.

James Catchings, 27, is from Houston and this is first experience as a law enforcement officer.

“I think it’s better to work for the county because it’s a better representation of Texas,” Catchings said. “I love this state.”

Also sworn in Friday was reserve deputy Alton Johnston.
