Diaz and Lundquist participate in Crossroads All Stars game

Karnes County was well represented in the Crossroads Senior High School softball All-Stars in Victoria June 8. Kenedy resident Rudy Diaz (left) who coaches at Victoria St. Joseph was selected to coach the Blue All-Stars. Players were from Victoria East, West, St. Joseph, Ganado, Halletsville, Goliad, and Karnes City. Aileen Lundquist (right) who played for Karnes City High School, played 3rd base and catcher. Coach Diaz stated that he enjoyed having Aileen on his All-Star team. “She works hard, great attitude, and understands the game,” Diaz said. The Blue All-Stars beat the Green All-Stars 6-4. The Green All-Stars players were from Refugio, Calhoun Port Lavaca, Edna, Boling, Van Vleck, and Victoria West.
