GOLIAD – The Goliad County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rash of burglaries that have occurred in the city over the last two months.

Olga’s Restaurant on U.S. Highway 59 had approximately $1,000 worth of electronics, equipment, food and other items stolen after a break-in during the early hours on May 4. Even stolen from the restaurant was the establishment’s first dollar that was hanging on a wall.

Goliad County Sheriff Kirby Brumby said there have been 17 burglaries reported in the city since March 3.

Anyone with information on these burglaries is urged to contact the Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers at 877-362-0206 or 361-362-0206. A cash reward could be received in the result of an arrest or indictment.
