Brewer to speak at third Lenten Luncheon Tuesday

The Rev. Jeff Brewer of the First Baptist Church of Pawnee will speak on “The Love of God: What Fellowship Really Means” for the third program in the Margaret Moser Memorial Lenten Luncheon series at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church next Tuesday, March 20.

Lunch will be served by the women of First United Methodist Church from 11:30 a.m. until noon, with the program beginning by 12:05 and ending by 1 p.m. The cost is $7 per program.

Reservations should be made by calling the St. Philip’s office, 358-2730, by Friday afternoon, March 16. Those missing that deadline may still make a reservation by leaving a message on the answering machine by Saturday evening, March 17. Those with reservations for the series will be automatically renewed.

Brewer was born and raised in southern Georgia. He started singing when he was nine years old. The winner of many vocal competitions, he has performed Christian concerts all over the world.

He received a bachelor of arts degree in vocal performance from Florida State University, and a master of church music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He currently resides in Mineral with his wife, Ruth, and four of their nine children.
