SAN PATRICIO COUNTY – A former Woodsboro resident was in a one-vehicle rollover that involved a child fatality at 7:24 a.m. Monday, April 22, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Cpl. Charlie Ramirez.

Kasara Marie Escamilla, 26, of Taft, and formerly of Woodsboro, was driving on County Road 3567, a little more than a half mile from County Road 1906 in San Patricio County when her 2003 Suburban rolled over.

The vehicle flipped at least three times.

The location is about 2 miles from Farm-to-Market Road 893, according to Ramirez.

Tayden Davis, 5, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Two others, Kylie Davis, 8, and Isaac Liggins, 4, sustained serious injuries.

The children and Escamilla (in critical condition) were taken to Spohn Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi.

Ramirez said there’s a possibility that a distraction caused the accident. The fatality is still under investigation.
