Better use of funds

I read with amusement the article about building a gazebo at Oakwood Cemetery. I can’t think of a better place to have a reunion or other kind of party since it will open to the public.

The biggest problem I have with it is I have to drive down from Austin to care for my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents’ graves, all of whom paid for perpetual care, since the association cannot afford full time help to maintain the property.

Maybe the money for a gazebo could be put to better use of having the property cleaned completely for the first time in a long time. Or perhaps just turn all the funds they have over to the county, and let the county take care of it.
