Mr. Samsel was born to Alfred and Angelia Samsel in Kenedy. He had a love for animals and was very involved in Save the Animals.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ozella Samsel; a son, Michael Samsel; two grandchildren, Talia Kormos and Adrian Hernandez; and his parents.
Survivors include his children, Cynthia Kaye (Joey) Kormos and Tina Lynn Hernandez, both of Corsicana, and Sandra Lee (Edward) Marchakitus of Harveys Lake, Pa.; step-son, Stanley (Bonnie) Sierakowski of San Angelo; sisters, Carrie Sain of Alice and Velma Hrametz of Katy; grandchildren, Shae Kormos, Sloan Kormos, Danica Fosko, Lee Culver, Taylor Culver, Michael Samsel, Chad Samsel, Heather Samsel, Hannah Samsel, Amanda McGraw, Tara Manuere, Brison Manuere, Telsa Manuere, Amber Hernandez and Joshua Sierakowski; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana.
The funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Pallbearers were Shae Kormos, Sloan Kormos, Joey Kormos, Lee Culver, Brison Manuere and Edward Marchakitus.
