JV Lions beat Karnes City, Pettus

Scoring for the Kenedy JV football team in last weeks 28-6 win over Karnes City was Zeke Jacques on a 15 yard touchdown and a two pt conversion. Aaron Villarreal on a 60 yard fumble return and a 15 yard td run. Derrick Wilson would add the last from 2 yards out and the last 2pt conversion.

In this weeks action the Lions would travel to Pettus and start slow but pick it up after spotting the Eagles a 7-0 lead on a blocked punt recovery in the end zone.

Aaron Villarreal would return the kickoff 92 yards to put the Lions on the board. The 2pt conversion would be no good and leave the score at 7-6 Pettus.

In the second quarter Derrick Wilson would add a td and 2pt conversion to put the Lions up 14-7. Still in the 2nd Zeke Jacques would score from 19 yards out and then get the honors on the 2 pt conversion to make it 22-7.

The Lions would add one more score before the half as Scott Saenz would ramble in from 23 yards and Wilson would add the 2pt conversion to make it 30-7 at the half.

The Lions would score in the third as Aaron Villarreal would rush in from 8 yards out. Jacques would add the 2pt conversion to make it 38-7.

The Eagles would score late in the 4th quarter to make it 38-15 in which would be the final score. Next week the Lions JV will play the late game on Thursday at home as they host Skidmore-Tynan.
