Mr. Janysek was born in Helena on July 15, 1935, to Frank and Matilda Janysek. He married Virginia Sekula in Cestohowa on Dec. 2, 1961. He spent two years of active duty in the Army with the Signal Corp. stationed in Georgia, where he began a career in electronics working as a TV camera man and electronics signal repairman. Later, he moved to Houston to be employed with Mission Mfg, and TRW as a machinist/inspector in oil field specialties. He had a passion for flying and realized some of his dream by becoming a student pilot and he played the accordion and enjoyed ski trips, camping and hiking.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Sekula Janysek; his daughters, Sonja Janysek and Amy Janysek; and his sister-in-law, Agnes Janysek.
He was preceded in death by his infant children, Douglas Janysek and Mary Janysek; mother, Matilda Styra Janysek; father, Frank Janysek; and his brother Frank Janysek, Jr.
Visitation was held at 6 p.m. and a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Panna Maria on Friday, Aug. 23.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Interment followed in the Panna Maria Cemetery.
