AUSTIN – Goliad's Avery Zamzow finished sixth in the Class 2A girls long jump Friday afternoon at the UIL State Track and Field Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Zamzow went 17 feet, 9 1/4 inches. Omaha Paul Pewitt's Chadnee Knox won the event with a mark of 19-6 3/4.

Zamzow will compete Saturday in the 200-meter dash and 400- and 800-meter relays.
