GOLIAD COUNTY – A 19-year-old Victoria man died early Wednesday from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle wreck Tuesday morning in Goliad County.

Hunter Reid Tipton lost control of his 1997 Chevrolet S-10 pickup approximately five miles east of Goliad in the westbound lane on U.S. Highway 59. Tipton was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over several times. He landed in the middle of the highway, according to Goliad County Sheriff's Office Sergeant John Pape.

Pape said a driver of an 18-wheel tractor trailer was trailing Tipton's vehicle when Tipton's pickup swerved and rolled several times.

The crash occurred at approximately 8 a.m.

Tipton was transported to Victoria's DeTar Hospital Navarro by Goliad EMS. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to Pape.
