Tri-County Field Day set for May 10

Area livestock and forage producers are invited to this year’s Tri-County Field Day on Friday, May 10 at Papalote Ranch located at the end of County Road 351 outside Papalote.

Registration and a cowboy breakfast will begin at 7 a.m.

The program will start with “Water - A Ranch’s No. 1 Resource” with Dr. Diane Boellstorff.  Dr. Megan Clayton, Extension Range Specialist will discuss in the field “Effective Brush Control Techniques” followed by “Cattle Identification and Texas Animal Health Commission’s (TAHC) Marketability Program Demonstration” provided by Dr. T.R. Landsford, Texas Animal Health Commission Veterinarian and Mr. Brandon Manning from Allflex Tags.

The event will adjourn at approximately 12:30 p.m. Three CEU(s) will be provided for private pesticide recertification. The cost will be $15.
