St. Peter’s Lutheran Church to host speaker Sunday

ANDER – The regional manager for the Mission Investment Fund of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will be the guest preacher on Sunday, Sept. 15 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Pam Dorman, who serves as regional manager for the Mission Investment Fund in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma, will serve as presiding minister for St. Peter’s 9 a.m. worship service. St. Peter’s is located at 1545 E. Farm-to-Market Road 1961.

Following the 9 a.m. service, Dorman will give a presentation on the ministry of the Mission Investment Fund.

A native of California, Dorman received a bachelor of arts degree in religion from California Lutheran University and a master of divinity degree from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. She has served as pastor of congregations in Las Vegas, Nev.; San Diego, Calif.; Roy, Utah; and Roscoe, Runge and Nordheim, Texas. She has also served in specialized ministry as vice principal and teacher at Heights Lutheran Schools in Hacienda Heights, Calif. and as a chaplain in the U.S. Navy during the first Gulf War with the Marines in Saudi Arabia. She and her husband, Dr. Jim Dorman, reside in Boerne.
