Ohrts selected to play in Victoria College/Chick-Fil-A All-Star Baseball Game

Goliad's Davis Ohrt and Denton Ohrt are two of 35 high school baseball players from the area chosen to play in the Victoria College/Chick-Fil-A All-Star Baseball Game.

The players will be assigned to one of two teams to compete against each other on June 3.

The team selections were based on team records, statistics and coaches’ recommendations, according to Josh Moore, Intramural/Extramural Specialist.

Other players selected for the team are:

• Shiner's Cole Hybner, Colby Schrade and Mitchell McElroy

• Shiner St. Paul's Brady Cejka and Austin Esse

• Edna's Brent Strickland and Dequann Cantu

• El Campo's Bryce Brandl and Michael Wall

• Yoakum's Keith Ratley and Ryan Kvinta

• Industrial's Brandon Maraggia and Kevin Gibbs

• Victoria East's Hunter Perkins, Aaron Prado and Kyle Davidson

• Refugio's Cameron Sternadel and Colton Carroll

• Ganado's Kenny Kocian

• Victoria St. Joseph's Jerry Vasquez and Eric Alvarez

• Cuero's Logan Goebel and Dustin Ohrt

• Calhoun's Zach Cruz, Santos Alvarado and Devian Cantu

• Gonzales' Devin Benes and Tyler Jonota

• Victoria Faith Academy's Jonathan Luck

• Kenedy's Rolando Zepeda and Jeremy Rodriguez

• Victoria West's Cody Cavazos and Cory Willemin

The game will be at 6 p.m., Monday, June 3 in Riverside Stadium. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for students and free for children under 5.
