GOLIAD – A reckless driver of a tanker truck was pulled over by a passing motorist and charged with driving while intoxicated Friday night, according to the Goliad County Sheriff’s Office.

Mark Woodward, 30, of Corpus Christi was travelling on State Highway 239 heading to Goliad before he was stopped by the motorist near the U.S. Highway 183 intersection. GCSO deputies were soon dispatched to the scene at approximately 8 p.m.

“The guy was driving erratically and a passerby got him to stop,” Goliad County Sheriff Brumby said. “What appears to be synthetic marijuana was in plain view and the guy admitted to it.”

The truck, a white Peterbilt tanker owned owned by Genesis Energy out of Houston, was towed from the scene.
