The Goliad County Library’s Summer Activities Program featuring John O’Bryant and the “Reading Magic Show” will be Thursday, June 6 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the children’s area of the library.

O’Bryant encourages children to read and helps them realize that whatever they want to learn can be found in a book while using magic, music, illusion, and audience participation.

Children ages 6 to 10 years old are invited to attend.

Children ages 6 to 13 years old may now sign up for the summer reading club. At sign-up, each child will receive a bag filled with treats, coupons, and incentives to encourage reading during the summer months.

Each Monday starting June 10, the library will be showing a matinee at 2 p.m. in the children’s area of the library. On June 10, the library will be showing the PG-rated movie “Sandlot.”

Children ages 6 to 13 are invited.
