She was born in Galveston on Nov. 18, 1961 to Miguel and Elodia (Briseno) Campos. She married Robert Suniga on June 5, 1992 in Beeville and worked as a dietician at La Bahia Nursing and Rehab.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Suniga of Goliad; a son, Javier Miguel Suniga of Goliad; a daughter, Brandy Nicole Ramirez of Beeville; two stepsons, Robert Lee Suniga and Kenneth Ramsey Suniga, both of Albert Lee, Minnesota; a stepdaughter, Jessica Ann Suniga of Beeville; three brothers, Domingo (Stacey) Campos of Beeville, Miguel (Cenaida) Campos of Berclair and Henry Garcia of Victoria; a sister, Mary (Eloy Ruiz) Ramirez of Beeville; a granddaughter, Braelyn Jo Villanueva; and six step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10 at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Interment followed at the Blanconia Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alfonso “Poncho” Garza, Miguel “Popsy” Campos III, Adriana Rincon, Ray Rincon, Miguel “Crow” Campos, Don Lee Gonzales and Brady Campos.
Honorary pallbearers were Phillip King, Leno Brionez, Hospice of South Texas and the medical staff of M.D. Anderson and Citizens Medical Center.
