Don't forget to join in on the fun events at Storyfest! This year is our 25th Anniversary Celebration and we are making it big!

Storyfest is bringing back shows from previous years with 15 storytellers and 3 cowboys.

We have many fun events lined up, but some require registration, Don't forget to register early!

Did you know Storyfest has a 5K run/walk? Well, we do!

If you would like to enter the 5K Run/Walk, remember that the early entry deadline to secure a t-shirt is Friday, October 18 by 5 p.m. (Entries must be received, not postmarked, by that date). You can mail your entry, drop it by the GW Chamber office, or give it to Mary Margaret. There will also be registration opportunities on the day of the event.

Entry forms for our Little Red Wagon Parade are available at the Buck West House in GW or online at our website. Entry fee is only $5 and a great advertisement for your club, business, organization, pageant court, etc. Plus, the wagon parade is a lot of fun! The deadline to enter is October 25.

A night of campfire cooking, book signing and Texas authors' reading from the works of the master South Texas storyteller (Live Oak County born and raised).


Friday, November 1, 2013 - dinner starts at 6 p.m.

Readings til 9:30 p.m. - Oakville, Tx

(on IH 37 - between George West and Three Rivers exits)


On the grounds of the 1887 Oakville, Tx Jailhouse and Town Square.
