A collision on Interstate 37 near mile marker 67 approximately two miles north of Oakville killed two residents of Corpus Christi and left one in a life threatening condition with serious bodily injuries on Tuesday, April 23, at 10:43 p.m. according to information from DPS.

The report said Nathaniel Garcia, 45, of Corpus Christi was driving a 2007 Saturn Aura south in the northbound lane with Austin Garcia, 18, in the passenger seat. Both were wearing seat belts.

Garcia’s Saturn collided with a 2008 Nissan Altima that was heading northbound driven by Pablo Flores, 25, also of Corpus Christi. Flores was also wearing a seat belt.
