“The young Trojan runners did a fantastic job even with the heat reaching over 100 degrees. Our long jumpers and throwers shined as always and dominated their divisions,” said summer track coach Linda Luna.
The Primary girls “A” team finished third with the team of O’Maley Carrillo, Raeann Martinez, Annica Gonzales and Carrah Davis. The “B” team foursome of Alizen Moreno, Stephanie Del Bosque, Kyra Davis and Serenity Manzano placed fourth.
The Primary boys team of Matthew Soliz, Caleb Thomas, Jackson Hughes and Peyton Tavarez crossed the finish line in second place.
The Bantam girls won their event with the foursome of Lana Garcia, Yaneli Aguilar, Destiny Manzano and Danyelle Adamez. The Bantam boys captured second place ribbons with the squad of Alec Puentes, Marcus Gabriel, Cameron Ward and Desmond Givens.
The Midget girls “A” squad also placed first. The team of Julia Nail, Megan Gonzales, Jolie Carrillo and Shaynea Redmond won the event. The “B” team of Abigail Gonzales, Amidy Moreno, Melonie Thomas and Jacqueline Hernandez placed fifth.
The boys did just as well with another first place finish. The squad of Gabriel Carranco, Logan Kimbrough, Alex Aguilar Jr. and Carlos Escamilla had the fastest time of 56.07.
In the Midget division, Gabriel Carranco captured a first place ribbon with a time of 2:55. O’Maley Carrillo was third for the girls in the Midget group event.
The Primary girls got a first place finish from Annica Gonzales and Serenity Manzano in their heats. Alizen Moreno placed third as did Raeann Martinez. Carrah Davis finish fourth while Kyra Davis and Maggy Moreman both placed sixth.
Marcus Gabriel won his heat in the Primary boys division. Brian Rivas and Peyton Tavarez earned second place ribbons. Caleb Thomas, Matthew Soliz and Manuel Hernandez all finished in fourth place. Jackson Hughes finished fifth in his heat.
In the Sub-Bantam group, Megan Del Bosque placed second for the girls. Alec Puentes was fourth for the boys.
Bantam runners Danyelle Adamez placed second while Lana Garcia placed sixth for the girls. Desmond Givens was third and Cameron Ward was fifth for the boys in the same division.
The Sub-Midget girls got a fourth place finish from Jolie Carrillo. Amidy Moreno placed fifth while Jacqueline Hernandez and Kylie Cantu both finished sixth. Alex Aguilar placed third in his heat for the boys.
In the Midget division, Megan Gonzales placed first as did Shaynea Redmond. Julia Nail came in third while Abigail Gonzales was fourth. Roxana Ferrer placed fifth. Alexis Del Bosque, Demi DeLeon and Tara Barrera each placed sixth in their heats.
Carlos Escamilla won his race in the 100-meter dash for the Midget boys. Logan Kimbrough placed third and Connor Hughes was sixth.
The Midget division runners competed in the hurdles and Megan Gonzales placed fourth. Stephen Moreno crossed the finish line in third for the boys.
The Primary girls got two third place finishes from Alicia Garcia and Serenity Manzano. Carrah Davis placed fifth in her heat. Peyton Tavarez placed sixth in his heat for the boys.
In the Sub-Bantam races, Megan Del Bosque placed fourth for the girls and Alec Puentes also placed fourth for the boys.
The Bantam boys runners got a third place finish from Cameron Ward and a fourth place ribbon went to Desmond Givens.
In the Sub-Midget girls event, Amidy Moreno placed second. Jacqueline Hernandez was third while Jolie Carrillo placed fifth. Kylie Cantu placed sixth. For the boys, Alec Aguilar earned a third place finish.
In the Midget division, Shaynea Redmond outran her competitors for a first place ribbon. Abigail Gonzales placed second while Julia Nail was third. Tara Barrera came across the finish line in fourth. Logan Kimbrough was second in his heat for the boys. Gabriel Carranco was third and Connor Hughes placed sixth.

Raeann Martinez captured a second place ribbon in the Primary girls group with a leap of 8-9. Caleb Thomas was first in the boys division with a jump of 9-8. Sub-Bantam performer Megan Del Bosque was third with a good 10-4 effort. Danyelle Adamez placed fourth in the Bantam girls group at 10-6. Desmond Givens placed first in the same group for the boys with a jump of 11-11. Cameron Ward was second at 11-2.25.
Sub-Midget jumper Jacqueline Hernandez placed sixth at 10-7. Alex Aguilar Jr. jumped 13-0 for a second place ribbon.
In the Midget girls, Shaynea Redmond flew through the air for a first place ribbon with a great leap of 15-7. Megan Gonzales was fifth at 11-2.25 and Alexis Del Bosque was sixth at 11-1.5. Carlos Escamilla was first in the boys group with a jump of 15-3. Gabriel Carranco was fourth at 12-4.
Jackson Hughes placed sixth in the Primary boys event with a toss of 14-7.25. Bantam girl Lana Garcia won her event with a throw of 17-9. For the Sub-Midget girls, Kylie Cantu also won a first place ribbon with a good toss of 18-0.5. For the Midget girls, Demi De Leon was fifth and Tara Barrera placed sixth in their event. Carlos Escamilla won the Midget boys competition and Stephen Moreno placed fourth.
“Our numbers stayed high the whole month of June, and we are so appreciative of the parent support we received this season. If we can keep these kids running, jumping and throwing, Beeville has a bright future to look forward to in track and field,” Luna said.
