Any person who is interested in purchasing applying restricted or state limited use pesticides must be appropriately licensed through the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). To acquire a license, an applicator must attend a private pesticide applicator training conducted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service.

A training and testing has been set up for Friday, April 19, starting at 8 a.m. at the Bee County Extension Office, 107 S. St. Mary’s St. (new location) in Beeville. A representative from the Texas Department of Agriculture will be on hand for the testing starting at approximately 11:30 a.m. An applicant must make a 70 or better on the test and pay TDA $60 before their license will be issued. Applicants are encouraged to purchase study materials from the Bee County Extension Office for $40 prior to the training and testing. The cost for the training is $10/participant.

If you are interested in attending this event, contact the Bee County Extension Office at 361-362-3280 to RSVP.
