Detective Sgt. Art Gamez said information gathered so far is being withheld until the matter is investigated further.
The suspect, Thomas Ragsdale, was taken into custody between 2 and 3 a.m. Saturday at the International Bank of Commerce at 802 E. Houston St.
If convicted of the robbery charge, Ragsdale could face a prison sentence of 99 years to life and a $10,000 fine.
Gamez said the suspect also is being charged with evading arrest/detention, resisting arrest and criminal mischief, $500-$1,500.
Ragsdale was taken after being apprehended to the Bee County Jail, where he is currently in custody.
His bond was set at $500,000 on the robbery charge, and bonds on the other three charges totaled $8,000.
Gamez said no one was hurt in the incident that led to the arrest and the charges against the suspect.
